Olcelli Farmaceutici, an Italian pharmaceutical company operating in the sector since 1944, is pleased to present a unique event: the second edition of the Como Tattoo Convention®, three days of immersion in the world of tattoos and more. This one-of-a-kind event is a creative workshop where the art of tattooing will be expressed and celebrated in all its forms. For this second edition, Maria Elena Olcelli — owner of Olcelli Farmaceutici — and Vincenzo Forte — organizer and General Manager of CTC Srl — wanted to highlight tattooing not only as an aesthetic practice, but as an artistic language capable of expressing identities, personal stories and cultural visions. In this context, the tattoo artist is considered the bearer of stylistic research and a creative path that dialogues with other artistic disciplines.

On October 2nd, 3rd and 4th, at the Lariofiere Exhibition Centre in Erba, tattoo artists, piercers and artists will demonstrate their techniques to the public. The primary goal is not only to showcase the talent of all participants, but also to bring an innovative concept to the Como area, promoting art in all its forms and fostering dialogue between people from different parts of the world — a true artistic and cultural crossover.

Tattoos are much more than an art form: they are a universal language, a bridge between cultures and generations, a means of nonverbal communication capable of overcoming social and cultural barriers. Getting a tattoo is an act rooted in a millennia-old tradition dating back over 5,000 years.

The Como Tattoo Convention® returns with a second edition, building on the experience and enthusiasm generated by the first event. Following its initial success, the event is taking a step forward, aiming to strengthen its identity and establish itself as a reference point for the world of tattooing and contemporary visual arts. More than just a trade fair, the Como Tattoo Convention® is a space for meeting and exchange, where artists, professionals, enthusiasts and the public can connect, discover new visual languages and share experiences. The event thus becomes a dynamic place where creativity, culture and community meet. This vision is further strengthened by dedicated exhibition and artistic projects, designed to showcase the work of tattoo artists beyond the skin and to create a dialogue with other forms of contemporary expression, including street art and graffiti.

The second edition of the convention represents a natural evolution of the project, a further step towards building a cultural event capable of uniting art, research and participation, where tattoos become a tool for expression, identity and sharing.

The contest

At the heart of the event is a special event: an artistic contest dedicated to young people aged 18 to 35, an opportunity for emerging talents to put themselves to the test and freely express their creativity and their vision of present and future society.

The exhibition

Following the success of the first edition, this time too the Como Tattoo Convention® will feature a large space dedicated to the project ‘TrAttoo — Body and Freedom’, an art exhibition within the trade fair.
