The human body is not merely a shell, but the prime battleground where the struggle for freedom is waged. This is the beating heart of \u201cTrAtto \u2014 Body and Freedom<\/em>,\u201d the exhibition curated by Filippo Borella for the second edition of the Como Tattoo Convention, to be held at Lario Fiere in Erba (Co) and sponsored by Olcelli Farmaceutici.<\/p>\n

The Title<\/span><\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The title TrAttoo<\/strong> is not merely a play on words, but a statement of intent. It combines the Trait d\u2019Union<\/em> \u2014the link that connects different worlds\u2014withthe Atto<\/em>, understood as performative action and inner movement. The goal is ambitious: to definitively free tattooing from prejudice, recognizing it as the language of choice for contemporary artistic exploration.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The Exhibition<\/h2>\n

The exhibition breaks down the boundaries between disciplines. More than sixty artists, with works ranging from the 1960s to previously unseen installations, explore the theme through a full range of expressive means.<\/p>\n

The Body as a Tool<\/h2>\n

Here, the skin is the starting point, but not the destination. The body becomes an instrument made up of signs, colors, and silences, capable of connecting the aesthetic surface to the immensity of personal identity.<\/p>\n

The exhibition experience is not limited to sight; it becomes a multisensory experience that engages the senses of hearing, smell, and taste, placing the body in constant dialogue with the Whole.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The Evolution of Body Art<\/h2>\n

The book also offers a profound reflection on the evolution of body art. Tattoos and piercings are analyzed as the result of historical and social achievements: symbols of resistance and advocacy for human rights, women\u2019s emancipation, and freedom of sexual orientation.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Ultimately, TrAtto ois the unbreakable bond between the aesthetics of form and the courage to be oneself.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Art stimulates sensitivity and emotional perception, inviting the viewer to connect with different inner worlds. In the same way, the body\u2014when lived and presented as an authentic expression of the self\u2014 becomes a vehicle for emotions and profound messages<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

In short, for us, the body is not just a vessel, but a fundamental means of expression and communication. The freedom to express oneself through it, while respecting others, is a right and an opportunity to enrich society with emotions, understanding, and beauty\u2014just as art does. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

PROCEDURE:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]We have set aside a large area where artists who request to participate can bring and\/or create their works on site, ranging from paintings, sculptures, and photographs to video art or any other form of artistic expression.
\nThe works on display will be selected based solely on their direct connection to the theme of the body.
\nThe curator of the exhibition is the artist Filippo Borella<\/strong>, who will accept proposals for participation and will be responsible for managing and organizing the exhibition spaces and the works of the participating artists.<\/p>\n
