\nWith a journey rich in experimentation and international education<\/strong>, he has also explored practices such as suspensions, scarification, and other advanced forms of body modification. Today, he collaborates with leading studios in Milan.<\/p>\n

For over 700 years<\/strong>, the Razzouk family has carried on the art of sacred tattooing, which began in Egypt with small crosses on the wrists of Copts and was later brought to Jerusalem as a sign of faith for pilgrims.
\nToday, Wassim, together with his sons Anton and Nizar<\/strong>, continues this unique tradition with ancient symbols such as the iconic Jerusalem Cross.

Joe Patty, a traditional tattooist from the Maluku islands<\/strong>. Revivalist, practitioner and teacher of the tattoo traditions from the indigenous Alifuru people located in the central-Maluku islands. He is one of the few left Alifuru tattooists in the world.<\/strong>
\nCome and see the ancient hand tapped and poking methods. He will be giving a short talk about the Alifuru culture, history and the various forms of tattooing within the islands.

EVENT PROCEDURE:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]To ensure that all participants are guaranteed a fair and professional evaluation, each jury will include experienced tattoo artists with years of experience in the field, and judging will be made based on several parameters, such as: composition, technique, style, saturation and general objective and subjective parameters. The whole process will be impartial. The evaluation of the competing tattoos will be filmed and streamed live so that everyone can watch in real time and see the tattoos in detail<\/p>\n

Conduct of the award ceremony:<\/p>\n

The contestants will be called on stage by their full name.
\nThe judges will make an initial selection by awarding a badge to the best tattoos, which should be kept. At least 50% of the participants will be eliminated in this first round. Those who did not receive a badge will be asked to leave the stage at the end of this phase.
\nThe judges then select the winners through a numerical voting system (on a scale from 1 to 10). The winners will be announced along with their tattoo artist, and the prize will be awarded.<\/p>\n

Note: In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker will be held.[\/vc_column_text][vc_zigzag css=”.vc_custom_1733910922952{padding-top: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

AWARDS:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]For each category there will be 3 prizes, except for Best Healed, Best of Friday, Best of Saturday and Best of Show which will be only one.
\nThe prizes will be made in collaboration with Filippo Borella<\/strong>. RULES AND GENERAL INFO:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Each tattoo can only be entered once per contest, except for the winners of Best of Friday and Best of Saturday, who may bring their tattoo again for Best of Show. Each tattoo artist may enter up to a maximum of 3 tattoos in the contests throughout the entire event.<\/p>\n

The contestant will be called on stage during the scheduled contest time slot. In case of absence, they will be called up to three times; if they fail to appear, they will be automatically disqualified.<\/p>\n

Only tattoos done during the convention will be eligible to participate in the contests, with the exception of the Best Healed category, which is reserved for fully healed tattoos completed prior to the event.<\/p>\n

Tattoos that were started in a studio but predominantly completed during the convention will also be eligible to participate. However, the continuation of tattoos previously done in a studio will not be considered as a whole; only the work effectively executed during the convention will be evaluated.
\nExample of an eligible tattoo: A leg tattoo that was started in a studio, with the outer calf completed beforehand, is fully finished during the three days of the convention by completing the upper part and connecting it to the lower section. The tattoo work done during the three days takes precedence over the portion previously completed in the studio.<\/p>\n

Contest registrations will take place daily in a designated area from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, except for the Best Healed category, where registrations will be open from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. -Best Traditional: it will be possible to bring a Traditional\/Old School tattoo either in color or black and white, with no size limit.<\/p>\n

-Best Large Black and Grey: A black and grey tattoo (no gray color) of any style can be entered, as long as it is of large dimensions.
